Surprise! Quirky series of ads for Max Shoes
A really simple, yet highly effective series of visuals, that manage to be both memorable and place the product at the heart of the creative.

IKEA is well sick man!
The DJ and the trainer-obsessed teen. Ikea goes all urban cool – but in an clean, orderly Swedish way of course. A couple of ads that look at why people buy (or need) furniture. Lovely insightful idea brought to life in a beautifully filmed story. I don’t even feel I’m being sold to!
Here’s the one about trainers (or sneekers if you’re from those parts).

CHORES
What’s more frightening than an unconvincing animatronic gigantic great white shark? A giant pile or ironing, that’s what. Well, maybe. Just a silly idea I had.

Penis Door Handles
So what they’re saying is that taking viagra opens doors… of a sort!

‘For any hair type’
Series of optical illusion press ads for Garnier by Publicis Switzerland. They’re visually clever and the impact is striking, especially on first viewing, but it’s a shame each is just a repeat gag of the previous execution. I think a much stronger campaign could’ve been created if other ideas incorporating the same visual idea and copy line had been found.

Poetry in Motion
“Everybody should be able to set a goal as a ten year old child and fulfil it..”
The story of one man’s 30 year dream to own a 1957 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. Even if you don’t like cars, this is a beautiful piece of design. It looks stunning today, but imagine seeing this in 1957.

Meet the Superhumans
Been a while since my last entry so thought I’d need to show a good ‘un. And this is (if not a little late on posting). Produced by 4creative, C4’s in-house agency, it’s a 90 second film promoting the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, with an inspired soundtrack, Harder Than You Think by Public Enemy. Beautifully shot, exquisitely produced and utterly humbling to watch. Enjoy. Full credits here.
